Women’s Breath Salon is designed to be a joyous celebration of women andbreath. Learn the foundations of rhythmic and therapuetic breathwork in a safe, circle of local yoginis. It is time that we start to gather in the spirit of healing together as women for a larger purpose!
Using the breath in a facilitated group format like this has the power to clear old traumas, unleash vibrant sexuality and creativity (which restores health throughout the body) and support women to REFILL their cup in order to live passionately, truthfully and effectively.
The states available through this particular breathwork are designed to:
- Re-oxygenate the body
- Help flip unhealthy mental grooves
- Release past injury/trauma
- Offer a truly “unplugged” experience for women to gather and share intuitive information.
The Yoga Sutras urge us to find a pranayama that evokes a natural pause in the breath thus un-inhibited connection to source.
In the beginning it is advised NOT to practice pranayama without facilitation because of the power of the breath to alter the body and mind. You are invited to a guided entrance into the world of pranayama. Please bring:
Journal, pen, love of women and water as this is a form of journey work.
What to Expect:
Intro to the breath. Demonstrations and a chance to learn to read breath patterns. Reclined breath practice to music. Facilitation including verbal ques, hands-on work and use of props to open breath.
Before teaching asana full-time, Jenna McDonald traveled the globe teaching breathwork to yoga communities, schools and wilderness programs to facilitate depth in practice & relationship. Through these teachings, it became evident that we can have healthy and honest bonding within communities without the need for intoxicants.
